October has been quite the busy month for us over at Lipa Later. Below are the major events that took place within the month.

Maureen Waititu officially joins Lipa Later as our Brand Partner

In an attempt to tap into the world of influencer marketing, we onboarded Maureen Waititu as the official Lipa Later Brand Partner. She recognizes our brand value and will help us create brand love, awareness, and ultimately generate traction that can translate into quality leads for all our current and future campaigns.

Re-launch of Lipa Later in Rwanda

We officially re-launched in Rwanda on 19th October 2020. We have partnered with major brands e.g. Tecno, Samsung, and Hotpoint, and many others, to enable our Rwandese customers access to all their favorite electronics and furniture needs as they pay comfortably in monthly installments.

Eric Muli’s Interview with Metropol TV Kenya

Earlier this month, Eric Muli, CEO, sat down with Metropol TV Kenya for an in-depth interview. The conversation revolved around business operations during COVID- 19, and also future plans for Lipa Later. A major take-home from Eric was that in any business, doing more with less creates a successful profitable business especially in an attempt to grow.

Lipa Later implements above- the- line marketing strategy

In an effort to boost our marketing efforts, this quarter we implemented above-the-line advertising where we focused on billboards and street poles. We are currently running a quarterly campaign dubbed “Maisha 100 ukiLipa Later” which is based on the functional benefit of everything being achievable, affordable, and attainable with Lipa Later through our flexible monthly payment plans.

The billboards and street poles are strategically positioned all over Nairobi in prime locations such as Ngong road, Upperhill, CBD, and Langata Road, to name a few.

Below are some visuals of the billboards and street poles:

Customer Service Week

We also had quite a jampacked Customer Service Week- which is an international celebration of customers and those who serve and support them. It featured a bunch of giveaways to our esteemed customers including a Hisense TV, a Tecno phone, and cash.

Fena Gitu also dropped by the office during the week to learn about our sign up process and to purchase a new phone for herself, and in turn, we offered one of her biggest fans a brand new phone as well.

November plans

As we close on the year, we still work tirelessly and are dedicated to making our services more user-friendly and automated. This month, we will be launching our Lipa Later Shop- an online marketplace that will provide our customers and retail partners an online platform to buy and sell, with the option of paying in installments with Lipa Later or in cash. In the pipeline is also the revamp and relaunch of our Android, and iOS app. The cherry on the cake will be our entry into Uganda this month to provide a buy now pay later option in a new market.
